In 2012-2013, I hosted an online radio show called ”The Hate Project”. The goal of this show was to explore the sources of bigotry and hate by allowing people who are racist, sexist, homophobic to call in anonymously in order to have an honest discussion about why they hate. I’m revisiting this project to reflect on the interactions I had on the show and how many of the ideas expressed are currently mirrored in mainstream America under Trump.

On this episode...I revisit "The Hate Project" episode 34 which originally aired on August 12th, 2013. I have a great interview with D.K. Wilson, an African-American writer. D.K. discusses how he wrote about racism in sports and found himself marginalized, blacklisted, and even threatened. He also talks about his own life including encountering racism at private school, being a tennis coach and a musician, and his experiences with paranormal activity which may be connected to his father's work in the government.
Something that has stood out to me about this interview since 2013 is the fact that People of Color in this country suffer from Stockholm syndrome in relation to white people and white mainstream society, and it prohibits us from fully realizing our own humanity and realizing true liberation. What do you think?
Psychotic white supremacist "pastor" Lindstedt (heard on Episode 10 and Episode 11) calls in to chide me about my interview with Corinna Burt (Episode 29) and "The Hate Project" in general. I left in edited clips of this because Lindstedt allows the uncensored POV of white fascism that is currently spreading in the nation and world right now.
At the beginning of the episode - Conservative personality Ben Shapero tries to hijack the show. Also discussion of the Proud Boys/Hate Group rally in Portland on Saturday 8/17/19 and how these groups are outnumbered by citizens yet receive protection and support from the Police and the White House.
